Clarke doubt full to play against Pakistan: Rod Marsh

SYDNEY: Injured Australian skipper Michael Clarke in doubt for the next month’s series against Pakistan, says chief selector Rod March on Monday.

The star batsman got hamstring injury while playing against Zimbabwe in Tri Series and immediately returned home from the tour.

Currently the 33 year-old cricketer is under the treatment and in a bid to prove his fitness for the two-Test series against the Green Shirts.

He was selected for One Day Internationals (ODI) against Pakistan as well as named in the squad for upcoming test series in October.

“No. Not confident,” Marsh told reporters when asked about Clarke’s chances of playing in the ODIs.

However Marsh added that Clarke had proven to be a durable player over his 105-Test career.
