2.5million children out of school in PTI-ruled KP

PESHAWAR: As many as 2.5 million children are out of school in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) which is ruled by Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI).

During a seminar organized by Dost Foundation, child rights experts said that the province needed 8,000 more schools and 7,000 more teachers to meet children education needs.

Most of these children pick useable items from garbage. Moreover, a large number of them get addicted to drugs due to the peer group. When they grow up they get involved in criminal activities.

Save the Children’s Adnan Sajid, Dost Foundation’s Arshad Nazir and others spoke at the seminar held at a local hotel.
