ISLAMABAD: Despite intense political situation in the country, Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has sent gifts to his Indian counterpart, media reported.
The Pakistani premier sent mangoes as a gift to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in order to signal betterment of bilateral relations with neighbouring country.
Sindhri and Chaunsa mangoes were sent to Indian Prime Minister despite a threatening message earlier released by an Indian lawmaker, reports said.
The PM Nawaz’s move praised by the Indian media claiming it as an significant effort to improve Pakistan-India relations.
India minister threatens Pakistan over ceasefire tensions
Earlier on September 1, an Indian Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh threatened the Pakistan that ‘white flag will not be shown anymore if ceasefire violated on Line of Control (LoC) by Pakistan’.
Rajnath Singh said that Indian security forces have directed to retaliate rapidly over ceasefire violations by Pakistan.
