ISLAMABAD: New designated SSP operation Islamabad Asmatullah Junejo said that police would defend Red line at all cost.
Talking to the media the SSP operations said that as per constitution police are responsible to defend read lines and Islamabad police would follow its duties adding that police duties are of implement the laws instead making it.
Asmat apologised over police shelling on the protesters including women and children last night and during the day, he also apologized to media community over police assault on them.
He informed that as many as 11 persons have been identified involved in torture on media persons and personnel are belonged to Punjab constabulary and disciplinary actions would be taken against them.
The SSP assured that strict actions would be taken against those who tarnished Islamabad police image.
He assured that excessive use of force would not be used against the protesters today.
Defending the government, he said there is no talk of U turn in police stand adding that orders have been received to the police on Sunday morning not to use force against the protesters.
The SSP said that he got his Master degree from USA and there are rules of protest in the western world. The protest have been allowed with allocation of due time in those societies.
Ismat said that no body is superior than PM if FIR could be registered against PM why not on others.
New SSP declared Imran Khan and Dr Tahir Ul Qadri as heroes of Pakistan and also prayed for their success.
The SSP operations urged the leadership of PTI and PAT to understand police compulsion adding that leaders have assured him of cooperation.
