Police clashes with protestors, injures 308 in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: At least 308 persons were injured including protestors, security officials followed by clashes between police and protestors.


Clashes continue between police and hundreds of protestors belonging to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) when the political workers started marching towards Prime Minister House in Islamabad.

Political situation becomes more intense as per expectations when PTI, PAT chiefs announced to move towards PM House after declaring failure of negotiations with Pakistan government.

However, the clashes resulted a large number of casualties including women and children as at least 57 women were shifted to local hospitals in severe health conditions affected by rubber bullets and heavy tear gas shelling.

According to TheNewsTribe representative, 180 injured persons including 57 women, children and police officials are being treated in PIMS Hospital in the federal capital Islamabad.

128 injured have been shifted to Poly Clinic Hospital in Islamabad including 25 women and children affected seriously by the tear gas shelling by the security agencies.

12 innocent children were amongst the affected persons; who are admitted in the two hospitals in Islamabad while majority of women and children were taken in unconscious state.
