MQM announces to observe ‘mourning day’ today

ISLAMABAD: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Sunday announced to observe ‘mourning day’ on August 31 (today) in order to protests overĀ ‘use of power’ against protestors in Islamabad.


Following directions of Altaf Hussain, MQM has announced to observe mourning day today in order to record their protests against violence over Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT).

Altaf Hussain demanded Pakistani premier to resignĀ voluntarily.

It should be mentioned here that chiefs of PTI and PAT have jointly stepped forward towards Prime Minister House Islamabad along with thousands of protestors today.

However, higher authorities started crackdowns against the protestors, trying to enter into Red Zone limits, via heavy tear gas shelling and firing of rubber bullets.

MQM demanded stoppage of power usage by the Pakistan government against the PTI, PAT protestors in Islamabad.
