ISLAMABAD: Despite facing severe pressure by political rivals, Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has made fearless decision via scheduling his return flight in Lahore but not the federal capital Islamabad.
Rumours started circulating that he fled from the country over severe political pressure by rivals Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) via strong protests.
Refuting the rumours, CM Shahbaz Sharif decided to shorten his visit to China, scheduled to land in the provincial capital Lahore despite reaching Islamabad at 11:30pm (Pakistan Time).
It is noteworthy to mention here that the CM Punjab had left Pakistan on August 25 (Monday) for a four-day visit to China to attend meeting of Pakistan-China joint working group.
Following the political turmoil in Pakistan, CM Shahbaz Sharif is arriving back to the country on August 27 (today) evening.
Moreover, PAT’s chief Tahirul Qadri had included the resignation of CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif in his ‘two demands’ for extending his provided ‘Revolution’ deadline for few hours.
