ECP cancels high-level meeting in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Highest electoral board of the country, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), has cancelled its important meeting scheduled on August 26 (today), sources said.

ECP cancelled its scheduled meeting in the Islamabad headquarters following roads’ closure in Red Zone due to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) protests.

The board’s high-ups have to convene the significant meeting in pretext of present national crisis.

New date of the meeting would be announced soon to hold consultations over allegations of ECP’s additional secretary Afzal Khan’s allegations of vote rigging.
