LAHORE: Member Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Justice retd Riyaz Kiyani has rejected all the allegation leveled on him by former additional secretary Afzal Khan.
Talking in press conference in Lahore, he said that Afzal khan has leveled allegations on him just not to get extension in his service in ECP.
Justice retd Riyaz Kiyani said that Afzal khan interview was preplanned and fixed adding that it was aimed at to defame ECP.
“Chief Justice of Pakistan should take suo moto notice on the Afzal Khan interview” Justice Riyaz demanded.
The member ECP declared Afzal khan as loyal activist of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and questioned why additional secretary kept his mouth closed in last 14 months.
He said that Afzal Khan wanted extension in his service at ECP which would be his second promotion of the year which was contrary to the rules and he as a member ECP rejected his case.
He also said that he did mistake by joining ECP as its member adding that he did not do any action which gave bad name to ECP.
