New Dehli; Case registered against Pakistani envoy Abdul Basit, Shabir Shah

NEW DEHLI: Treason case has been registered against Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit and freedom movement leader Shabir Shah in Indian court, local media reported on Saturday.

the case has been registered on the orders of Allahabad CGM court, reports said.

The petition had been filed by Advocate Sushil Kumar Mishra in district court that Pakistani high-up Abdul Basit had met Shabir Shah neglecting the Indian government orders disallowing to meet him.

The petitioner termed the move as ‘treason’.

The petition declared the meeting as conspiracy against the country and demanded the court to punish Abdul Basit and Shabir Shah.

The district court CGM Nilma Singh approved the petition and ordered to register the case.

The next hearing of the case scheduled on September 5 while applicant statement would be registered first, the report said.
