Erdogan nominates Ahmed Daoud Oglo for new Turkish PM

ANKARA: Newly elected Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday nominated the ongoing Foreign Minister Ahmed Daoud Oglo for the premiership of the country.

Erdogan made the major announcement in a press conference conducted in Ankara.

The Turkish President have finalised the long-awaited decision to nominate the country’s new Prime Minister today, who would succeed his previous post.

Erdogan expressed his hopes the nominated PM will deal better to face current challenges in the country.

Oglo was born on February 19 in 1956 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. He is currently performing his duties as the Minister of Foreign Affairs since 2009.

He will take charge of his post on August 27.
