Military troops deployed in Red Zone following Pakistan govt orders: ISPR

ISLAMABAD: Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has announced the deployment of military troops in Islamabad’s Red Zone under orders of Pakistani government.


ISPR spokesperson said that some additional contingents of military troops are being deployed in the Red Zone of the federal capital.

Security responsibilities of key governmental installments and buildings has also been handed over to the Pakistan military including Parliament House.

It should be mentioned here that the move was taken after announcement of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) marches towards highly-sensitive Red Zone of Islamabad to be commenced on August 19 (today).
