ISLAMABAD: Pervez Musharraf’s lawyer Ahmed Raza Kasuri has disclosed that all the cases against the former strongman were filed on political basis and they were about to be abolished soon.
Speaking to a private TV channel, he said that cases on political basis are withdrawn in changing political situations.
He said that timing was always important in politics and Pervez Musharraf had broken his silence. Kasuri revealed that Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan struck a deal on Pervez Musharraf’s issue but not progress could be made as situation had changed.
“Musharraf’s mother is ill and he will go abroad to visit her,” he said, adding that the Pakistan Army was Musharraf’s fraternity who always stood by the state.
