Pakistan trail by 78 runs with 9 wickets in hand against Sri Lanka

GALLE: Pakistan trail by 78 runs with 9 wickets remaining against Sri Lanka at the end of day four of first test played at Galle international stadium.

Pakistan in replay to Sri Lanka’s lead of 81 runs lost an early wicket of Khurram Manzoor while Ahmad Shahzad is still out there with night watchman Saeed Ajmal on the crease.

Rangana Herath took the only wicket for the Sri Lanka.

Earlier, Host started their incomplete innings from 252/2 with Kumar Sangakkara batting on 102 runs while Mahela Jayawardene batting on 55 runs.

Jayawardene lost his wicket just adding four runs to his account while Sangakkara complete another milestone by scoring 221 runs along with Skipper Angelo Mathews’s 91 runs to guide host to score a massive total of 533 runs in its first innings.

Saeed Ajmal took 5 wickets for the green shirts.
