Taliban linked soldier killed a US general in Afghanistan

KABUL: An Afghan soldier, possibly linked to Taliban, killed a very senior level American General in Afghanistan.


According to US media, this army officer was a major general who was killed on Tuesday when he was shot at close range at a military training academy on the outskirts of Kabul.

The officer was the highest-ranking member of the American military to die in hostilities in the Afghanistan war.

The coalition officials while speaking on condition of anonymity said that they cannot public the name of the major general.

The details of the soldier are also a secret till now but people speculate that this must be another attack by Taliban,however,no one is confirming this and till now it is described as “an incident” at the Marshall Fahim National Defense University in Kabul.
