KIEV: Two Ukrainian fighter jets were shot down on Wednesday near Savur Mogila in eastern Ukraine, Reuters reported.
According to Ukraine’s military spokesmen, the planes were targeted near Savur Mogaila not far from the Malaysian plane incident.
We don’t have any information regarding the pilots, he said.
In charge of rebel ranks in eastern city of Donetsk, Igor Strelkov said that the separatists had brought down one plane and that the pilot had ejected. He gave no further details.
Last week, the Malaysian booing 737 was shot down in the Eastern Ukraine killing 298 passengers on board.
