BOLE HORIZONTE: Host Brazil on Wednesday faced their heaviest defeat 7-1 in the semi-final against Germany played at Bole Horizonte.
Germany who dominated the first half with 5-0 lead over the five time champions Brazil, improved their lead at the end of the second half.
Brazil tried to score the rapidly in the second half but couldn’t beat German goal keeper Neuer.
Andre Schurrle and Toni Kroos scored two goals each while, Sami Khedira, Thomas Muller, and Mriosloav Klose a goal each.
Oscar the only goal scorer for Brazil.
This is the first home ground defeat for Brazil after 39 years.
