KARACHI: As many as eight people, including a political activist, were killed in different areas of the city on Wednesday, meanwhile the Rangers conducted a search operation in Qasba Colony area of the city arrested five terrorists.
According to police, the activist was identified as Abdul Razaq and was killed in unidentified gunmen’s firing in Korangi.
Earlier, two men were shot dead in firing incidents that took place at Shara-e-Iraq and Native Jetty Bridge.
Earlier a tortured dead body of a man was found from Defence area of the city. He was identified as 16-year-old Bilawal. He was gatekeeper. A 42-year-old man Nawaz Ali was gunned down near Urdu Chowk, Orangi Town. In another firing incident that occurred in Manghopir a man was killed.
On the other hand the Rangers conducted a search operation in Qasba Colony area of the city arrested five terrorists of the TTP.
According to Rangers’ spokesman, the material used to make suicide jackets, grenades and other weapons were also recovered from the arrested terrorists.
It is to be mentioned here that Rangers conduct operations across the city on daily basis and arrest the suspects.
