2nd Day: West Indies leads by 89 runs over New Zealand in 1st innings

TRINIDAD: West Indies is leading by 89 runs over New Zealand team in the second-day of second Test match at Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain.

After winning the toss, New Zealand team lost the all wickets scoring just 221 runs against West Indies.

Kiwi’s opener batsman Tom Latham made 82 runs for team side but as well as two experience batsmen Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor could not play more and both put his 42 and 45 runs.

Jerome Taylor marked his four wickets and Sulieman Benn took three wickets in the first innings.

West Indies gave a good reply to New Zealand, Caribbean opener Kraigg Brathwaite and middle order batsman Darren Bravo provided the 182 runs long-partnership which Brathwaite made 129 and Bravo made 109 runs.

West Indies has made so far 310 runs losing its five wickets in the end of second-day.
