MQM takes back appeal for business closure on Wednesday

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has taken back it appeal for business closure tomorrow in view of appeals from business associations and general public.

MQM had earlier announced that it will observe ‘Day of Mourning’ on Wednesday to protest and mourn killing of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers by Punjab Police.

Rabita Committee condemned the police raid on the Secretariat of Minjah-ul-Quran and brutally torturing workers, including female workers. Eight people have died as a result of police brutality, including two women workers.

Coordination Committee has demanded that the government should take notice of the raid, police torture and deaths and take action against the perpetrators.
