DADU: Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) has seized power supply of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s shrine on Wednesday.
HESCO officials said the cause of shutting down power supply was that the Auqaf Department had not paid arrears of Rs two crore.
The shrine’s administrator Masood Ahmed Mangi told reporters that the delay in payment was due to the amount of bill.
He further said that HESCO authorities were requested to reform bills so that payment can be made.
He hoped that power supply to the shrine will be restored soon to facilitate visitors.
HESCO Sub-Divisional Officer Nazir Solangi said the Auqaf Department officials had contacted the electricity department and assured to pay the bill.
