ISLAMABAD: Newly reinstated Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Najam Sethi said on Thursday that a new democratic constitution of PCB is imminent and he has told Supreme Court about the progress.
The chairman recently reinstated by SC told media that he has received a written order and that is why he has resumed the charge adding that he did not ask PCB staff to receive him but told them to continue their work.
Sethi, reinstated again after Pakistan’s supreme court declared void the Islamabad High Court’s decision declaring his appointment illegal, said that as long as PCB’s patron-in-chief (PM Pakistan Nawaz Sharif) wants him in office he will remain in it.
PCB chief revealed that Sri Lankan Cricket Board has asked its team to tour Pakistan adding that he is trying his best to persuade foreign teams to visit Pakistan.
