ISLAMABAD: Owners of CNG stations have increased the price of CNG by Rs10 to 15 per kg in Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Sources also revealed to Dawn news that per CNG cylinder prices have also been increased by Rs100.
According to Dawn news report, CNG owners have taken this decision because of long hours of load-shedding, which make them utilise generators more and increase their expenditure.
The CNG stations owners said that increase in price was due to the use of generators. They have been requesting Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) to review CNG prices for the last two months.
The owners said that they were forced to increase prices due to lack of attention from OGRA and the petroleum ministry.
However, 35% gas stations are still charging as per OGRA’s notification.
