ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s federal information minister Pervez Rasheed said on Saturday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s anti-rigging protest was a flop show and only 14 to 15 thousand people attended the event.
Pervez Rasheed claimed that Imran Khan got 7.5 million votes whileonly 14 to 15 thousand people attended his protest which shows that only 10 percent of his voters are supporting his agenda.
The PML-N stalwart claimed that only 550 people from Lahore went to Islamabad to participate in PTI’s event adding that Imran Khan organised the rally to hide internal rifts between the party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Furthermore, Rasheed said that in past, police would arrest party workers before the event but this time the government in a democratic fashion let PTI do its bidding freely adding that the country’s weather is good and the political climate too is better.
