RAWALPINDI: Local police officials detained two suspected persons within premises of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT)-led protesting spot in Rawalpindi on Sunday.
Two suspected persons has been arrested by Rawalpindi police who were taking posters of PAT’s chief Tahir-ul-Qadri with them, local media reported.
Police officials have shifted the suspected persons to an undisclosed location for interrogation purpose.
Tight security arrangements were seen at the venue as intelligence reports apprised the PAT chief Tahir-ul-Qadri with terrorism bids during the protests.
It should be mentioned that PAT announced to stage protests today Pakistan while various other political parties including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Jamaat-e-Islami and Awami Muslim League (AML) scheduled public gatherings across major cities in Pakistan.
