KARACHI: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) of Karachi on Wednesday announced verdict regarding theft of 1.5 lakh identity cards after 18 years and vindicated all accused in the case.
The anti terrorist court of Karachi Judge Muhammad Azeem while delivering the verdict stated that proofs and evidences against the accused were not enough and released all the accused.
The accused in the case were maj (retd) Pervez Fazal, maj (retd) Wilayat, officers of security printing press, Malik Sikandar Awan, Bin Sher Malik Jan Muhammad and Malik Muhamad Hayat, all were alleged that they had theft as many as 18 lakh identity cards after their making.
The court had reserved the verdict hearing in month of February this year.
The case has been continued for last 18 years and three of the accused have passed away during the case while two of them have been suffering from untreatable disease.
