LAHORE: Jamat-e-Islami (JI) has placed condition for the participation in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led protest over alleged rigging in general election on May 11 held last year.
JI secretary general Liaqat Baloch stated that if Allama Tahir-ul-Qadri’s party Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) will participate in the protest on May 11 then JI will not take part in the protest, adding that Qadri’s participation in the protest will make opposition’s role suspicious.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan had announced to organise protest on May 11, the same date when general election held in previous year across the country, in order to raise voice against mandate stealing by worst vote rigging.
Imran Khan appealed that nation should leave homes for sake of country but not for PTI. He added that everyone should start its preparation for another Tsunami.
It is noteworthy to mention here that PAT’s chief Allama Tahir-ul-Qadri had boycatt the general election last year showing distrust over whole election process of the country.
