Islamabad: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday has announced an election schedule on Senate’s vacant seat of Mustafa Kamal which will be held on May 20.
According to a schedule of the ECP, public notice will be issued on May 7 whereas the forms will be collected from May 8 to May 9.
The ECP will thoroughly verify the forms on May 10 and May 12.
Applicants can appeal on May 14 while the ECP would give the decision on appeals on May 16.
On May 17, the applicants could withdraw and on the same day the ECP would issue the final list of the applicants.
On May 20, the election on the vacant seat of the Senate would be held in Sindh Assembly from 9am to 4pm.
The senate seat was vacant by former leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Mustafa Kamal due to personal reasons.
