Karachi: Sindh Assembly on Monday has unanimously passed a resolution against illegal mobiles SIMs used in the country.
The resolution was submitted by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) MPA Seema Zia.
Zia while submitted the resolution said that 20, 20 SIMs have been issued to a single person which could help to promote terrorism in the country.
She said that it is need of the hour to block unverified SIMs as it is an open threat to all of us.
On the occasion Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon while supporting the resolution said that action will be taken against illegal SIMs.
He said that few months ago law-enforcement agencies recovered 5000 SIMs from a member of outlawed organization, adding that seven have been issued on his own name.
