LAS VEGAS: British boxer Amir Khan marked his return to the ring with a convincing points win over Luis Collazo at the MGM Grand, here on Sunday.
Khan, who was fighting for the first time in over a year, knocked down his experienced and durable opponent three times en route to a comfortable unanimous decision.
Two judges scored the bout 119-104 while the third had it 117-106 to reflect the dominance of the British fighter, who is trying to line himself up for a shot at pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather.
Former world champion Khan was fighting at the full welterweight limit for the first time and clinched the WBC Silver and WBA International titles with the win.
