LONDON: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that attempts to topple government with protests and strikes should end now, adding that his government would completely overcome power and gas crisis within next few years.
Addressing Pakistani community in London, the Prime Minister said tolerance is inevitable for national politics as PML-N also adopted the same policy during last five years.
For the first time, a democratic transition has been successfully completed that should continue in future also, he said, adding that the government is striving hard to grapple with the energy problems.
Another twenty-one thousand megawatt of electricity will be added to the national grid within next eight to ten years, he added.
The Prime Minister said Diamer Bhasha and Dassu dams will contribute around 9,000 megawatt of electricity. The government will construct Diamer Bhasha Dam from its own resources if it does not receive foreign assistance.
