ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has again accused the former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry for manipulating the May 11, 2012 general election in a talk show program aired on a private TV channel on Thursday, The News Tribe reported.
Not only that, he also vowed to reveal the filthy details of last elections in Pakistan.
“In my press conference tomorrow (Friday), I will disclose how the returning officers in different constituencies were handed the results even before the ballots were taken out of boxes for counting,” said Khan.
PTI leader talked about his nationwide protest movement that will begin from May 11, 2014 against the rigging that, according to him, changed the results in general election of 2012.
He also criticised Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and accused that the whole rigging process was well crafted and controlled from Lahore.
“Rather than going through the troubles of orchestrating his election to power by hook or crook, Nawaz Sharif had better laid claim to the ‘throne’ and declared himself ‘King of Pakistan’. And it didn’t come as a surprise he (Nawaz) was godfathered by a powerful military dictator”, said Khan.
He also clarified that his loyalty lies with democracy but here in Pakistan, democracy need free and fair election.
“Martial Laws have always been detrimental to the country, thus we will never accept any system other than democracy,” said the former cricketer.
