KARACHI: A resolution has been presented in the Sindh Assembly against Federal government for the shortage and worst load shedding of water and electricity, respectively in the province.
The resolution tabled by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Nisar Khoro which was endorsed by Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F).
During the assembly session, Khoro term the worst load shedding as revenge by federal government and a punishment for creating Pakistan.
“President and parliament’s house are also defaulters but nobody call them culprits. I have heard that WAPDA’s chairman is also a defaulter,” he added.
“Shut down the electricity of defaulters – don’t punish the consumers who pay their bill on time. I bear the burden of worst load shedding because other people are not paying their electricity bills,” Khoro said.
Sindh provides 70% of the gas to the country, adding that should we stop the supply of gas for halting Sindh’s electricity? MQM leader Faisal Sabswari asked.
