Islamabad: A protest to release missing person has been continued in Islamabad on Tuesday by their relatives and sympathizers led by rights activist Amna Masood Janjua despite worst torture and mishandling by the Islamabad police.
The police and other law-enforcement agencies arrested dozons of people and also used tear gas and baton charge yesterday which injured at least 20 people including Amina Janjua.
After the incident, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed annoyance over a crackdown ordered their immediate release.
He said that that every citizen of the country has the right to hold peaceful demonstration within legal parameters.
Expressing his disapproval over mishandling of the protestors by the police force, he said it was unacceptable and he also ordered for a strict action against the responsible.
