D G KHAN: The suspended Deputy Superintended of Police (DSP) Abdul Latif Kanjo in Amna self immolation case fled from court premises upon rejection of his bail by the court.
The anti terrorist court in Dera Ghazi Khan heard the Amna self immolation case on Monday. The Suspended DSP appeared before the court, while as he came to know that his bail has been rejected by the court, he fled from the court premises in the presence of the police.
It is pertinent to mention here that 18 years old Amna, a rape victim from Muzaffargarh, who set herself ablaze and lost her life as a protest for non arrest of abusers and not getting justice.
Last month. after the news of self immolation of the raped girl on media, Chief Justice of Pakistan had taken suo moto notice and Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif visited deceased girl’s house and ordered suspension of SHO, DSP and arrest of investigation officer of the case.
