ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali claimed in an interview that government of Pakistan has devised a comprehensive planning to decrease load-shedding during summer season.
Abid Sher Ali assured that load-shedding duration will not be more than six to eight hours during the summer.
He said the government has been providing subsidy of two hundred and twenty six billion rupees to poor consumers.
The Minister said 1500-MW additional electricity would be included in the national grid by June this year.
Talking about more government initiatives he said a transmission line from Iran to Khuzdar is being laid to import electricity from neighboring countries.
Abid Sher Ali said Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) government will make Pakistan load-shedding free country by the end of constitutional tenure of the government.
