KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday has adjourned the case of former military ruler Pervez Musharraf’s plea to withdraw his name from the Exit Control List (ECL) till May 7.
The SHC’s divisional bench, comprising of Justice Mohammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Shah Nawaz Tariq, conducted the hearing of Musharraf’s plea to withdraw his name from ECL.
During the hearing, Attorney General of Pakistan Salman Butt argued that he has received the notice from the court last day and that’s why he did not get enough time for the preparation of the case.
Then he requested the court to grant him 15 days to prepare for the case.
In response to Butt’s request, Pervez Musharraf’s lawyer Farog Naseen argued that the federal government has worked on this issue earlier and giving 15 days time will not be fair at all.
After hearing both the parties, the court adjourned the hearing till May 7 and directed Attorney General to appear in next hearing.
