LAHORE: Lahore police on Friday has claimed to arrest two target killers involved in 18 target killings of different sought around Punjab.
Capital City Police Officer Chaudhry Shafiq Gujjar (CCPO) informed the media in press conference on Friday.
The CCPO informed that the group belonged to a banned outfit who had been involved in sectarian killings, targeted social personalities and kidnapping and they had made network for terrorism.
During interrogation, the arrested target killers has confessed of 18 murders and also accepted to involve in robberies, CCPO added.
The arrested terrorist included Abdur Rauf, stated to be resident of Badami Bagh Lahore and Haroon Bhathi, CCPO informed.
The group killed various personalities which included Molana Nasir Abbass Multan, Molana Shams –ur-Reham Mauwiah, Shakir Rizvi, Khurram Raza Qadri, Ghulam Raza Jafri, Professor Shabih Ul Hassan, Dr Sagheer Asghar Baloch of Quetta, Ali hussain Qazlebash and driver of Journalist Raza Rumi.
The group carried out the attacks with planning and complete recky and kidnapped major business man for ransom, CCPO briefed.
