ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif (PM) and Co-Chairman Pakistan People Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari have discussed multiple issues during one-on-one meeting in Islamabad on Wednesday.
In one on one meeting, the two leaders discussed several issues including dialogue with the Taliban, Protection of Pakistan Ordinance, national security and the political situation in the country.
The ongoing operation in Karachi and financial issues of Sindh were also discussed.
Their meeting came after the backdrop of the tensions between the country’s civilian and military leaderships emitted out after former military ruler indictment in high treason case scenario.
Earlier, both leaders held delegation-level talks and discussed the country’s political situation.
Federal ministers Ishaq Dar and Zahid Hamid assisted the PM and senior PPP leaders, including Khurshid Shah and Mian Raza Rabbani and provincial minister for Finance accompanied Asif Ali Zardari.
Hamid briefed the meeting on the Protection of Pakistan Bill while a member of from the government side, Fawad Hassan Fawad, briefed the PPP delegation on the latest situation in the dialogue with the Talban.
In the end PM served the lunch to distinguished political guests.
