LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued a No-Objection-Certificate (N.O.C) to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sports Wing to organise a cricket league in Pakistan.
The party led by former cricketer Imran Khan will organize the league matches in different cities of Pakistan. a country which is seeing a boycott by international cricketing teams.
According to local “Love Pakistan Peace T20 Cricket League” in various parts of the country from May 3 to 18, in which four provincial teams, one representing the centre, and the Afghan national team would participate.
The matches will be played in Peshawar, Quetta, Multan, Rawalpindi and Faisalabad.
Both semi-finals and the final will be played in Faisalabad.
It is said that PTI chief Imran Khan would inaugurate the T20 league in Arbab Niaz Stadium. Peshawar.
International cricket doors have been shut for Pakistan since the 2009 attack on Sri Lankan cricket team and no international team has visited Pakistan since then except for an exhibition match organized by Dr.Muhammad Ali Shah last year which saw some retired cricketers play against Pakistan team.
