LAHORE: Indian officials said that dead body of Sarla Jeewant, an Indian woman who fell dead in Pakistan after meeting her brother could not be shifted via Wagah border.
The officials said that Sarla went to Pakistan through a train and her dead body should return in the same fashion i.e using a train.
The officials while directing her brother’s family in Pakistan to complete documentation, informed that shifting via Wagah border requires special approval.
The 60 year old lady had previously been refused the Pakistani visa four times. Her brother Mahesh lives in Larkana and the siblings had not seen each other for the last 16 years. When finally the big day arrived, Sarla arrived in Pakistan but her heart could not bear the joy and she collapsed soon after seeing her brother.
