LAHORE Former Test Cricketer Sarfraz Nawaz on Thursday urged the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to give back the responsibility of Twenty-20 Captaincy to Misbah ul Haq saying at least he is a dependable batsman.
Mohammad Hafeez stepped down as Pakistan’s T20 captain last week after the team’s failure to qualify for the semi-finals of the World Twenty20 in Bangladesh.
Talking to APP, Sarfraz said Misbah is the only batsman on whom the team can depend. “He is a consistent scorer and never gives up whenever the team is in trouble,” he said.
Sarfraz said just see our team’s performance in the World T20 Cup match against West Indies. “Our batsmen weren’t able to play the whole 20 overs and were all-out on 82 runs in 17.5 overs,” he said adding we need Misbah back in the T20 team.
