SANYA: Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has urged Asian countries to cooperate for better economic prosperity of the region in his opening address in Boao Forum in China on Thursday, media reported.
PM is in Sanya (a city in China in Hainan province) for 2014 Boao Forum Asia (BFA) as he has been invited by Chinese government.
PM stressed on the importance of regional connectivity in his address.
He said peace is prerequisite for economic development and it should be our utmost priority to resolve all the disputes in the region.
He also appreciated China’s relationship with Pakistan and hoped for a new era in Pak-China relation, packed with development and prosperity for both sides.
Special Assistant to PM Tariq Fatemi, Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and other high government officials were also there with PM in 2014 BFA.
During his visit in China, PM will conduct bilateral meetings with Chinese head of state to review Pak-China current situation in respect of economic cooperation.
