ISLAMABAD: Adviser to Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has said that division on sectarian line is harmful for the Islamic world and this is why Pakistan following neutral policy on Syria as per line with the United Nations resolutions.
Sartaj Aziz said this while giving an interview to BBC.
He said that Pakistan was trying to sell small arms and fighter aircraft to Saudi Arabia.
He said there was no difficulty for Saudi Arabia to purchase weapons from any other country. There was no need for creating any doubts on the issue, he added.
Aziz rejected the news that Pakistan has requested the United States (US) regarding to get additional arms and ammunition in Afghanistan.
He viewed that Pakistan had released Afghan Taliban to take forward reconciliation process in Afghanistan.
Talking about Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline project, he said it was intact but due to sanctions imposed on Iran, the duration for the project would be increased.
