Ahmed Shahzad and Kamran Akmal left without scoring while Umar Akmal scored only 1 run.
The top scorer of Pakistan’s innings was Muhammad Hafeez who scored 19 runs that too by wasting 44 balls.
Pakistan team only made 82 runs chasing a challenging 166 runs.
Pakistan is out of the ICC grand event after this 84 run defeat.
West Indies spinners Badree and Narine shared 6 wickets (3 each).
Santokie gave first breakthrough by dsimissing Ahmed Shahzad on the first ball, Santokie took 2 wickets.
West Indies after winning the toss, chose to bat first but could not shine from the very start as soon their master blaster Chris Gayle was stumped on an off side delivery of Pakistani skipper Muhammad Hafeez.
Soon, Gayle’s partner Smith was caught behind on a Sohail Tanvir delivery.
Gayle scored 5 runs while Smith only made 8 runs.
Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi got rid of a dangerous looking Samuels who scored 20 runs by hitting 1 four and 1 six.
While Lendl Simmons was hitting the ball hard, he was run out by Umar Gul. Simmons hit 2 fours and 2 sixes to make 31 runs in total.
Bravo and Sammy brought Windies back in the match with their slogging totals.
Dwayne Bravo gave Windies a last impetus with a quick 46 runs off 26 runs with 2 fours and 4 sixes. He was dismissed in the last over when he ran after falling off a Sohail Tanvir delivery. He was run out off a correc throw.
Darren Sammy was another hero who scored an unbeaten 42 off 28 balls and hit boundaries at will.
Sammy hit 4 fours and 2 sixes.
Thanks to Sammy and Bravo, Pakistani star spinner Saeed Ajmal finished with figures of o-41 runs in 4 overs.
While Shahid Afridi, Zulfiqar Babar, Sohail Tanvir and Muhammad Hafeez took 1 wicket each.
Pakistan, Australia and Bangladesh from Group 2 will be flying back home as they are out of the tournament.
West Indies and India have reached the semis from Group 2.
This is the first time that Pakistan is not playing semi final of T20 World Cup.
