Karachi: Sindh Assembly on Monday has passed Motor vehicles (Amendment) Bill 2014 in case of traffic violations in the metropolis.
Sindh Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Dr Sikandar Mandhro, presented the bill in the assembly by saying that in the 1965 bill, penalties had not been increased.
According to details, 150 challan has been approved for bike riders without wearing helmet. The bill said that those who will not give route to school buses will face penalty of 1000 rupees.
The penalty has also been increased from 350 to 1000 for any car found with darktinted glasses .
The assembly was also agreed to increase penalties upto 500 for taking wrong turn which causes severe accidents.
According to the bill, violations for traffic lane and overloading on the buses will also been fined for 1000 rupees.
