ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan’s federal government has decided to cut petroleum prices up to Rs5.16 in coming month while a formal announcement would be made today, local media reported.
Significant reduction in the prices of petroleum products is expected to be announced on Monday (today) as the government has made final decision after prominent hike of Pakistani Rupee’s value against US dollar.
The reduction in petrol prices would be made up to Rs.1.72, High Speed Diesel Rs2.90, HOBC Rs4.66, Kerosene oil Rs5.61 and Rs5.16 in Light Speed Diesel.
According to reports, Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) suggested the Pakistan’s Petroleum Ministry for making major cut in petroleum rates following remarkable decrease in petroleum prices internationally and increased value of Pakistani Rupee upto Rs8.0 against US dollar.
