KARACHI: As many as 20 elected members of the ruling Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) set another example of their non-seriousness as most of the members escaped the special session of the Sindh Assembly over Thar drought.
In addition, members from the drought hit Tharparkar area were also among those who escaped the session. “Thar MPAs Makhdoum Jamil- u- Zaman, Arbab Ghulam Rahim, Makhdoum Naimat Ullah and Mahesh Mallani and Speaker Afgha Siraj Durrani did not feel oblige to attend the session,” sources said.
It is worth mentioning that more 150 children have been died and thousands of families have been affected due to the drought in Tharparkar.
More than 20 MPA’S of the Sindh assembly did not participate in today’s session.
