LAHORE: The Chief Minister of Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif has announced to establish first information technology (IT) specific university in the province and expressed his determination to accomplish this long and difficult journey of progress.
Addressing the IT Conference at the Arfa Karim Tower in Lahore on Saturday, Shahbaz Sharif said that his government is taking every possible step to promote the IT sector, yet international IT firms specially Microsoft have not fulfilled the expectations attached with them for investing in the field of IT here.
He said that not only modern economic reforms are being introduced through IT, but it has also proven to be greatly facilitating in overcoming different crimes.
The Chief Minister said that his government holds economic progress as a matter significant enough and soon Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus Project will be kicked off.
He admitted the fact that the entire Pakistani nation including him has not yet fulfilled the goals its elders had set, while establishing Pakistan, but time is still there to start working for nation’s progress and prosperity.
