London: Vodafone is offering Samsung’s flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy S5 gold exclusively in UK.
The Galaxy S5 will be launched with black, white, blue and gold color options, but for those in the UK, getting their hands on the gold S5 will only be possible through carrier Vodafone, which has received exclusive rights on the most shiny color variant.
Vodafone doesn’t mention how long this exclusivity will last, though judging by how the carrier has phrased the announcement, it could be a while before the gold color option becomes generally available in the country. Pre-orders will begin on March 28th, so you have a little over a week left to decide whether the gold variant is important enough for you to switch over to make a deal with Vodafone.
The Galaxy S5 sports a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display of 1080p resolution, a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16-megapixel camera, 16GB of storage and a microSD slot, Wi-Fi, HSPA+, LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, and NFC connectivity, and a 2,800 mAh battery.
It runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat with an improved version of Samsung’s custom UI, and comes with unique features like a fingerprint sensor and a heart rate monitor.
